Score My Heart // Chapter Seventeen

Sid was on his way here, and I was pacing around my living room, feeling my stomach lurch from side to side as each minute passed by. Usually at this time, if someone did anything as woke me up. Let’s just say you’d find they’re dead body hanging from the ceiling. I’m not even joking. I take my sleep very seriously, and no one messes with it unless they’re asking for a death sentence. But as soon as I heard his voice through the receiver I felt nothing but happy and excited as that silly school girl smile crept on my face. The things this guy makes me feel. He’d told me he loved me over the phone. This was the first time he’d said it, and it was the first time we’d see each other after the little joyful exchange. I don’t know why I felt like this, but I just did. I heard the doorbell ring, I looked up towards the door, not moving.

Go on, open the door, I thought to myself. He’s just the same as he was yesterday.

I paced myself into the bathroom and took a quick look at my reflection in the mirror. My hair was a total mess, my face had that puffiness you got when you woke up, and my eyeliner that I had been to lazy to wipe off yesterday night was smeared all over my face. In the end, to sum up how I looked right now was described in one word. Disgusting. I sighed as I heard the doorbell ring for the second time. Sid was obviously impatient, I smiled to myself. I quickly fluffed my hair one last time and just about sprint to the front door. I turned the knob and bit my lip as I saw him appear from behind the door. Looking stunningly good-looking as ever, with his curly hair falling just over his eyebrows. Oh god. How did I get so lucky. We both had those stupid little kid-gets-a-christmas-present grins on our faces and they would not go away. We both just stood there, until I felt his mouth press down on mine before I could even say hello.

Our smiles slowly disappearing, our eyes never leaving each others. I stood there in my little tank top and little PJ boxer shorts. He broke the stare as his eyes trailed down from my face to my chest. His face grew hot as I caught him staring, looking back at me he gave me an apologetic smile. “Can I come in?” he quietly asked. I don’t know why that just drove me over the edge. Maybe it was the fact that it was four in the morning, or maybe it was the fact he looked adorable in his wrinkled t-shirt and his Reebok sweatpants. I could see the built up muscles in his arms, and all I thought about was how wonderful they’d feel under my hands, or even better. How his abs would feel under my palms. My breathing suddenly started speeding up as my thoughts grew more and more graphic. Sid stood there, looking slightly confused at my reaction, still waiting for me to let him in the apartment. I pushed the door completely aside as I leaped into his arm. This took him off guard, he took a few steps back before regaining his balance. I was still wrapped in his arms, my legs taking they’re places around his waist. My eyes bore into his. “Kiss me, dammit.” I whispered intently. Sid was a little startled, but did as I said and quickly brought his lips closer and closer to mine, until finally they touched. He took it slowly, as I pushed for a bit more. He could feel the urgency behind my mouth. He pulled his face back a bit, but only a good centimetre away. He searched my face. “Roxy, what’s up with you?” he asked slightly confused. “I love you.” I said with intensity as I took his bottom lip between my teeth before I started kissing him, full passion. I could still feel he wasn’t giving his all, so pressed my chest tightly to his. His breath hitched as he sped up the pace that I’ve been anticipating for. Our lips wrestled, our breaths quickening. His hands roaming all over my body, before bringing them to my butt. Squeezing it. I felt him closing the door with his foot, never breaking the kiss he brought me to the kitchen counter. I brought him closer to me, locking my legs tightly behind his back until every inch of him touch mine. By now we were gasping for air. My hands held his face as I tasted every inch of his mouth, while his hands roamed me. His hands trailed from my shoulders down my arm to my hands, bringing them back up as he slowly made his way for my chest between the small space between our bodies. Finally, he placed his hands over my breasts causing him to give me an electric shock. My breath hitched for just a mere second as I stopped kissing him from the intensity of the feeling... Not giving me a chance to breathe, it was his turn to catch my lips. “I love you” he whispered breathily against them. The moment was interrupted by his phone which chose to ring at the most inconvenient of times. We both grumbled. He pulled back as he was about to reach his phone. I took his hand before pulling him back to me, kissing him greedily again. We picked up where we’d left off as the phone kept on ringing. We both ignored it. Finally it had stopped ringing, a relief to the both of us. I pulled my lips form his to catch my breath as his lips never left my skin. Leaving a trail of sweet and electrifying kisses down my jaw to my neck. My breath picking more than before, if it were even possible. I turned my lips to his face. I placed kisses on his cheek, towards his ear. “I say we take this to my room.” I whispered against his skin with a smirk, before placing a kiss on his ear lobe, receiving moan from Sid. I smiled. It was his turn to tease me. He opened his mouth at the base of my neck, letting out a heated breath that raised goosebumps on my arms, leaving tingles in my stomach. He let his tongue out and licked and bit my neck before bringing back his lips to my ear. “I say, that that sounds perfect...” He said as he slid his hands under me, readying to carry me to my room. Unfortunately, that inconvenient phone of his decides to ring right then. We both groaned, irritation was clearly a shared feeling at the moment. I couldn’t take this anymore. I grabbed his phone out of his pocket and pressed the “answer” button. “What?” I said impatiently into the phone. “Babe?” I heard a female voice on the other side. Anger flashed through me, not to mention the shock the left me furious and speechless. Babe? Babe? Was this some kind of joke? “I was thinking that we could continue what we’ve started the other night.” The chick on the other end said in what was a really sad attempt to be seductive. That was IT. He was sleeping with some other whore!?

Oh geez.

I just realized how short that last post really was. Oh god, so sorry. I have more planned, and I'll post it soon.

Score My Heart // Chapter Sixteen

Sorry guys! Super short chapter, but mores on its way!

I groan as I hear the sound of my ringtone going off. It can't be morning already, I thought. I reach for my phone that is set on my bedside table and look at the time. 4 am. I had definitely not set my alarm for 4 am. I flick open my phone gracelessly, forgetting to check who was calling at this time.

"Hello?" I whisper in my groggy early morning voice.
"Hey." I hear someone  whisper through the phone. When I realize it's Sidney, it causes a huge grin to form on my face, "I'm so sorry to wake you." He said quietly.
"Oh, that's okay. I had to wake up in a couple hours anyways." I say, sitting up and flicking on the lamp. "What's up?"
"I just... can't stop thinking about you." Sidney said softly, and I could tell he was embarrassed by his choice of words. "I mean, it's crazy. I don't think I've ever felt this way before." His words took me by shock. And I just sat there, jaw wide open.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is," I heard him take a deep breath, "I love you, Roxanne."
With those words, I couldn't help but feels my face spread into a immense smile.
"I love you too." I managed to whisper, seeing as I was still in shock.
"You mind if I come over?" Sidney asks with a chuckle.
"Now?" I laugh, "Okay."
"I'll see you soon." He said, softly, but obviously excited. I just laughed, said bye, then hung up before throwing my face into my pillow and screaming, repeatedly swatting my feet at the air in happiness.

Score My Heart // Chapter Fifteen

Before I get into this chapter, I'd like to say something. It goes something like this: WOOOOHOOOOO! PENS BABY! YOU'VE GOT YOUR CUP BOYS. SOOO PROUD OF YOU. <3>

Breathe in, breathe out,
I told myself as I stepped out of my car in my black cocktail dress and red pumps. One foot in front of the other, don't trip, you'll look like a dumbass. I smiled weakly at Colby who was dancing his way over to me his arm extended in my direction.

"Bonsoir, mademoiselle," he said, doing a little curtsy in front of me.
"Je vraiment pense que je vais vomir. Tienez mois, pour l'amour de dieu, je vais tomber dans ces souliers foux. Merde." I muttered to him in my native-tongue, making him gape at me wide-eyed.
"You know, I never got past bonjour, right?" he said, shaking his head.
"Sorry," I mumbled, breathing heavily as I walked into the Lemieux's household.
"Sidney's upstairs, I think. Either that or he's in the kitchen with Nathalie helping her with dinner. He's such an efeminine. You have no idea." Colby said as he crashed down on the couch next to Max who gave me his infamous grin.
"I can tell you're nervous," Max said grinning, "Don't worry about it, I'd be more scared of the girlfriends than Mario."
"Thanks Max," I said, scowling at him.
Just then, I heard a fit of maniacal laughter coming from upstairs. I spun around to see Sidney being chased by Austin with a fork in his hands and a crazy look in his eye. Sidney stopped at the bottom of the staircase and picked Austin up with one hand and swung him over his shoulder. I giggled as he saw me and set Austin down, walking over to me and placing a kiss on the tip of my nose.
"Hello," he said, pushing a lock of hair behind my ear, "You look beautiful tonight."
"Thanks," I said feeling my cheeks turn red.
"You ready to meet Mario? I'm sure he'll love you." Sidney asked eagerly, taking my hand and directing me to the backroom where I saw two people having a low-key conversation. I gulped and squeezed Sidney's hand harder as Mario turned around to face us, bringing a nauseous feeling to my stomach.
"Relax," Sidney whispered to me, "It's impossible to hate you."
"Mario, I'd like to introduce you to somebody." Sidney said, ushering me in his direction, "This is my girlfriend, Roxanne. Roxy, this is my landlord, Mario and his wife Nathalie."
"I-It's very nice to meet you Monsieur et Madame Lemieux," I said, offering my hand and stuttering.
"Likewise," Mario said, showing a hint of a smile and shaking my hand firmly.
"It's lovely to finally meet you, Roxanne," Nathalie said warmly, pulling me into a hug, "We've heard quite a lot about you."

I turned and raised an eyebrow at Sidney, who was a fluorescent shade of red.

"Well," Mario began, "I'll let you two get back to your party. I hope to be seeing more of you, Roxanne."
"Thank you, sir." I said, spinning around on my heel and rushing with Sidney to plop down on the couch next to Jordan.
"See!" Sidney exclaimed, "You did great."
"If you count acting like a blabbering and stuttering idiot a great thing, then sure." I replied, burying my face into Jordan's shoulder, much to his content.
"Hey, hey, hey." Sidney said, raising my chin off of Jordan's shoulder, "You were great. Believe me. He'll come around, he's just protective of who hangs out with the team. Once he gets to know you more, I'm sure you'll get along fine. Plus, Nathalie seemed to really like you."

I forced a weak smile at Sidney's supposedly encouraging words as I dragged myself off of the couch to go and grab something to drink. I walked into the kitchen and pulled a cup off of the counter and went to get some water, before bumping into a friendly-looking brunette.

"Oh, shit! I'm sorry!" I said as I pulled myself out of her way.
"Oh, that's alright," she said smiling and extending her hand, "I'm Vero."
"Roxanne." I said, taking her hand in mine and smiling slightly.
"You're the one who ran into Marc at the airport, right?" Vero said, "I've heard  a lot about you from the boys. I think you'll fit in really nicely with everyone here. Sure, some of the other girlfriends will take sometime warming up to you, but you seem quite nice so it shouldn't take too long."
"Aw, thank you! I feel kind of out of place here. I'm still new to this city." I said, "How do you know these guys?"
"Oh, that's my boyfriend," Vero said, pointing in Marc-Andre's direction, causing him to look up and wink at her as she blew a kiss towards him, "We've been together since freshman year."
"Wow," I said, gazing at them. They seemed so in love and right together. Even from 30 feet away.
"Excuse me, I have to get back to my date, but if you'd like, they're playing a game tomorrow, and you could come watch with us. We all stick together, us girlfriends. You'll get to know everyone else, because it seems like none of the other ladies showed up tonight." Vero offered.
"That sounds great! I can't wait," I said excitedly.
"Here's my cell number, call me before the game and I'll tell you where to get your ticket." Vero said, handing me a slip of paper.
"Thanks so much!" I said, slipping the number into my purse before finding my way over to my lovely boyfriend and pressing my lips down on his hearing a couple cheers and a 'Go Sid'

"Mm, you smell nice," he said, with his face in my hair, "Let's get out of here."
"You just read my mind, Crosby." I said, pecking him on the cheek and grabbing his hand before leading him out of the doors and to my car.

Score My Heart // Chapter Fourteen

I  hopped out of bed the next morning in an unusual chipper mood. I lazily tossed the covers back on my bed, tied my hair back into a high ponytail, and skipped around the dorm room in my Spiderman underwear to the song Dancing with Myself. I hummed the words to myself as I danced my way to the kitchen to get "breakfast", which consisted of a Pop Tart and a glass of orange juice. Yesterday, I had spent most of the day bumming out with Sidney in the dorm, listening to country music while we finished packing my things and crashing on the couch watching Friends reruns. After spending more time with him, I found that I had more in common with Sidney than I thought. We both loved horror movies and Warheads, country and Friends, neither of us were heavy drinkers or smokers, we both had the same favorite team growing up; The Canadiens, and, funnily enough, were both pro at Guitar Hero.

I had just pulled a sweater over my head as I heard my phone whiz off.
"Hello?" I answered,  plopping myself down on my bed.
"Good morning." I heard Sidney greet me from the other side of the line.
"Hey!" I said sitting up, "What's up?"
"I just realized something," Sidney laughed, "You're probably in so much suspense to know what my last question is. Well, I've decided I no longer really need to ask that question, I'm going to save it for a bit longer."
"Okay," I said, with an eyebrow raised, "Mind telling what you were going to ask me?"
"Well ..." Sidney started in a blunt tone, "I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend."
"And, that's changed now?" I asked as tears started to form in my eyes.
"No, I just don't feel as if I have to ask anymore." Sidney stated in a smug manner, making my tears disappear and replacing them with a laugh, "But. If it helps ... Roxy, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes." I said laughing, I was going to make some smartass comment, but I didn't feel like it at the moment. I just wanted to agree.
"So, I've got something I need to admit to you first." Sidney said, taking a deep breath, "I've never had an actual girlfriend before. Not one. So, please, bear with me, I'm new to this."
"And I've got a confession for you too, Crosby," I said, grinning, "I was married once."
I heard silence on the other end of the line and I had to smother my laughter.
"Really?" I heard Sidney begin slowly, "You were married before?"
"Yep. In kindergarden, his name was Ethan and we had virtually nothing in common, so I pulled the plug." I laughed as I heard Sidney breathe out a sigh of relief and mutter something before chuckling a bit.
"You really scared me."
"Owh, I'm sorry," I said, teasing him.
"Practice is about to start, I got to go." I heard Sidney say in a tad disappointed way, "I'll see you later then, girlfriend." I giggled a little bit at his new name for me.
"You're not honestly going to start calling me that are you?" I asked, eyebrows raised.
"Hm, maybe, I like the way it sounds. Then again, maybe not."
"Well, I'll let you go, boyfriend." I said laughing.
"Okay, but tonight, we're going out to dinner with all the boys, Mario too. Gotta introduce you."
I gulped at the sound of Mario's name.
"Okay, bye."
"Bye," I heard Sidney whisper then hang up.

Oh. My. God. Mario fucking Lemieux. I'm going, to die.
