Score My Heart // Chapter Nine

I rolled out of bed the next day to find Callie already gone. I looked at the clock and saw it was 8:30, I groaned and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have a shower. I turned on the shower, got undressed, then jumped in. The steaming water felt good on my muscles that were so tense from the past day. I smiled to myself as I remembered that I'd be seeing Sidney again. I got out of the shower and quickly got dressed for the day. It was colder today, so I pulled on a navy blue American Apparel sweater and a pair of grey jeans. I sat on my bed and brushed out my wet, long brown hair, and I heard my phone beep. I reached across to my dresser to see two new messages, one from Sidney and one from Callie.

I'm coming at nine. Be ready.
-Sid.

We're going shopping today. Wanna come?
-Cal

I jotted back a quick 'Already am' to Sidney and a 'Sorry, already got plans with Tyler today' to Callie. I prayed that she'd fall for it, and not two seconds later, I got a message back.

Fine. But you're missing out.

I sighed and went over to my mirror to out on my makeup for the day, just eyeliner and grey eyeshadow. I was walking over to my bed to get a headband, when I heard somewhat of a commotion outside. I peeped outside of the door and saw Chanelle mauling Sidney across from my dorm. I closed the door quietly, sat on the edge of my bed, and watched as tears started forming in my eyes.

I should've known a guy like that wouldn't fall for a girl like me. I was too plain.

I heard a knock on my door a minute later, but I ignored it. I couldn't see anyone right now. It didn't matter if it was Sidney, or Tyler, or Chanelle. I wasn't going to take crap from anyone now. My world was crashing down, I haven't been this sad in a long time. I may had only known the guy for a week, but I'd never felt anything remotely close to what I felt with Sidney. The knocking continued for the next ten minutes. Whoever it was, they sure weren't giving up too easy. I heard the person on the other side of the door sigh, and I assumed they had given up. I layed face down on my pillow when I heard them speak.

"C'mon, Roxy, open the door" Sidney pleaded.
"Why? So you can tell me how much you like Chanelle's tongue down your throat?" I snapped back icily.
"No, please, open up so I can explain." His tone was desperate.

I crossed my arms and opened the door.
"What?" I asked, furious.
Down the hall I could see Chanelle smirking, leaning against her door. I wanted to go down and give her a giant slap in the face, dug on her shoulder length blonde hair and ask her why the FUCK she would ruin the one good thing I had right now.
"I-I'm sorry," he said, "It wasn't me, I swear, she threw herself at me." he looked at his feet.
I couldn't help but forgive him, the almond shaped brown eyes drew me right in. I sighed, feeling defeated, then just curled up in his arms.

"I really am sorry," he whispered into my hair.
"I know, I forgive you." I murmured as tears started streaming down my face.

What the fuck? Was I turning into a big softy?
